September 30

Happy Monday. “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” Will Rogers

Packing a suitcase is not a favorite pastime unless it means I’m going to a special place.

What I really don’t like is unpacking!medium_4792488512

However, I’m smart enough to know it must be done because of dirty laundry, etc.

Unpacking emotional baggage is not always done as promptly as it should be. The “dirty laundry” of regrets, failures, resentments, injustices, and other things cause emotional clutter.

Someone has said, “Past experience should be a guiding post not a hitching post.”

I’m so thankful for Paul’s joyful spirit reflected in his writings which so often encourage me.

He chose one thing, to forget the past—cruelty to Christians and his false religion he had adhered to—and press forward to a better goal.

Too many of us live life looking through the rear view window. Won’t get very far that way.

Remember Cinderella? What if she had gone back for her slipper? She wouldn’t have become a princess.

Think that through!

Max Lucado says, “It’s time to let God’s love cover all things in your life.

All secrets.

All hurts.”

God says, “Remember ye not the former things…Behold, I will do a new thing.” Isaiah 43:18,19

I say, “Amen.”
