Happy Monday.
I hope your Easter was great as we all were reminded of new life. Even nature is showing off in her colorful blooms.
You’re not there yet? Take heart, you know it’s coming, it’s promised!
I am reminded of one of my husband’s sermons which speaks of the promises to which we may cling.
It’s called “Sunday’s Coming.” This past week, we were reminded of the dark, agonizing days leading up to Calvary.
But Sunday came! And life!
I realize as I think of so many of you whose days are still very dark. Death has invaded your life. The doctor’s report, not good, children breaking your heart, your world is crumbling around you.
Can you take one more breath? One more step? Live one more day?
Sunday’s coming!
Maybe you’ve waited so long, seeds of doubt of things changing have invaded your mind.
Jesus said, “My peace I give unto you…Let not your heart be troubled.”
Sunday’s coming!
When we see no visible signs of answers we desperately need, as one preacher recently said, we become “unbelieving believers.”
Remember, the disciples had that problem. They had literally walked with the One who said, “I am the resurrection, and the life.”
But they had to see to believe.
But Sunday came, though they doubted!
Listen to the words Gloria Gaither wrote:
“They all walked away, nothing to say,
They just lost their dearest friend.
All that He said…now He was dead,
So this was the way it would end.”
The chorus says:
“Then came the morning,
Night turned into day.
The stone was rolled away.
Hope rose with the dawn.
“Then came the morning,
Shadows vanished before the sun;
Death had lost and life had won
For morning had come!”
Can you reach out and take that peace that is offered to you today?

When songs are played and sung in the way the writer intended, they can be such a blessing to our hearts. Yes, Easter is a dark time with a happy ending for those who are saved. I remember that sermon by Bro. Hyles too! Sunday’s Coming ! When I see the beautiful picture of the pink roses, I know it is from you ! I also think of you when I see yellow roses because of the song…the yellow rose of Texas . 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to write for all of us..we really appreciate you even though we don’t always say so !! You are always so pleasant and positive! I miss you so much. Wish you were still in your front row seat in the choir when they come out! Wish we could still hear you sing specials! Because you are special to me! I love you…Bonnee 🙂

I remember that sermon and yes Sunday is coming. Today is dark but His light shines brightly into it. Though lonely I am not alone for my Savior is there. Thank you for your words of encouragement. You are blessed and because you are blessed I am blessed. Thank you. Carole Aldrich
